5 Days Cape Town to Garden Route

Day 1 – Company Gardens | Scenic Coastal drive | Table Mountain | Diamond Tour

The day starts with a walk around the richly historical Company’s Garden – a heritage site and the country’s oldest public garden. You’ll see the site of the old Slave Lodge/ Iziko Museums, the second oldest building in South Africa. We continue past Greenmarket Square, City Hall, the Castle, St Georges Cathedral and Houses of Parliament. Afterward, we proceed to learn the secrets behind Bo-Kaap’s brightly coloured houses

Visit the magnificent Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

Then onwards with a drive to Signal Hill and continue to the Table Mountain cable station. You can choose to enjoy the beautiful mountain views at the mountain base or purchase a cable car ticket to reach the summit (weather permitting)

We enjoy a scenic drive through Camps Bay, Clifton and Sea Point with short stops for photo opportunities. Later on we embark on the exhilarating diamond and Tanzanite Tour at Jewel Africa where we learn about the history of these eye-catching stones

As your day draws to an end, we head to the V&A Waterfront.

Day 2 – Chapman’s Peak Drive | Penguins | Cape Point | Stellenbosch Wine Tour

We drive towards Chapman's Peak embarking on the 9 km route with its 114 curves, climbing steeply up to Chapman's Point. The drive offers stunning panoramic views of the sandy bays below, ocean and mountains. We’ll have a stopover for photo opportunities and a moment to take in the breathtaking scenery.

Afterwards, we head to Boulders Beach, an attraction nestled between Simon's Town and Cape Point. Here we visit the world famous African Penguins Colony.

Later on, we proceed to Cape Point to experience breathtaking views, serene beaches and historic landmarks. We'll also get an opportunity to hop on the Flying Dutchman Funicular for a 3 minute ride to the lighthouse. On our way out we check out the Cape of Good Hope and possibly do a short hike to enjoy a bird's eye view of Cape Point.

From Cape Point we visit St James beach where we'll have a chance to see the multi-colored changing huts and spend some time at the beach.


The day’s tour ends with a signature wine experience in Stellenbosch, the heart of South Africa's Wine lands.

Day 3 – Cango Caves

We depart Cape Town at about 07:00 in the morning and head toward Du Toit’s Kloof Mountain pass. This route takes us through the beautiful towns of Robertson, Montagu and Ladysmith.  On arrival in Oudtshoorn we visit the renowned Cango Caves where we take a spectacular and enlightening guided tour. From the Caves we travel to an Ostrich farm further from Oudtshoorn. You will receive a tour of a practical Ostrich farm where you will learn more about their habits.

We later head towards the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains in Knysna. As we drive over mountain passes, we will witness the unique geological features. We further drive to the breathtaking Knysna Heads to enjoy dramatic views of unique geological features. We will overnight at Overmeer Guest House in Knysna.

Day 4 – Featherbed Private Nature Reserve | Mossel Bay

After breakfast we continue our expedition on to visit Knysna heads and spend some free time at the Knysna waterfront. We board our boat and sail towards the Knysna heads (weather dependant) and Featherbed Private Nature Reserve where we will enjoy a spectacular eco-experience and delectable buffet lunch. Later we proceed to Mossel Bay, visiting the Post Office Tree and Diaz museum where early sailors left mail for the homebound ships to Europe.

Route: Knysna – Mossel Bay – Cape Town

Day 5 – Botlierskop Private Game Reserve | Cape Town

This morning gives us ample time to visit Botlierskop Private Game Reserve and enjoy the thrill of a guided game drive in this unspoilt wildlife reserve. We later travel via the rolling hills off Swellendam en-route to Cape Town. We arrive back in Cape Town after a thrilling 5 days at about 17h30
